Women's National Football Teams
NATIONAL TEAMS · FIFA website ↗
This hub follows leading women's national football teams, who compete under FIFA. Women's football became an Olympic sport at Atlanta 1996, and its Olympic tournament is a full senior competition. The FIFA Women's World Cup has been held every four years since 1991, and the next is in Brazil in June and July 2027. Each confederation runs its own championship, among them the UEFA Women's EURO, the Copa América Femenina, the CONCACAF W Championship, the Women's Africa Cup of Nations and the AFC Women's Asian Cup, though they do not share a common cycle. Between tournaments teams gather in five FIFA international windows a year, falling in late February, April, June, October and late November.
